Boil Water Alert Issued For Brighton Heights and Marshall Shadeland

The PWSA Issued a map of the affected area.

A 16-inch water main burst Monday beneath Brighton Road, causing the PWSA to issue a boil water alert until at least Thursday morning for about 4,600 households in the North Side area Monday.
The break happened between Woods Run and Harbison Avenue around 2 a.m. Though water has been restored for most homes, dips in pressure can allow contaminants into the drinking supply. Customers are advised to run their tap water for one minute and then boil their water for any type of usage and consumption, including cooking, brushing teeth, washing food and supplying it to their pets.
