Boil Water Alert Issued for Parts of Pittsburgh

The PWSA issued a boil water alert after a water main break in the East End, located at the intersection of Centre and South Negley avenues.
Areas where water quality could be affected include: Bloomfield, Central Lawrenceville, East Liberty, Friendship, Garfield, Highland Park, Morningside and Shadyside. It could affect up to 7,000 homes and last until Tuesday evening.
The boil water advisory advises residents to boil their tap water for at least one minute before using the water to cook, drink, brush teeth, wash raw foods or use it for their pets’ consumption.
