Boil Water Advisory for South Hills and Washington County


Cloudiness (turbidity) is in the water supply of more than 50 communities in the South Hills and Washington County, and Pennsylvania American Water has issued a boil water alert. While turbidity itself does not pose a major health risk, it can lead to an increased risk of disease-causing organisms in the water supply because it can interfere with disinfection.
The advisory has been issued for 48 hours and affects more than 100,000 residents in the following communities:
